Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. She currently holds the position as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. The California native Buss grew up in an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon before becoming the proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she began working for the family business as the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later she founded her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was the President of Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss was the inheritor of Lakers ownership Lakers from her father in 2013. The five siblings she had inherited it through a family estate trust. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
